Career: 1972-1975 - Northern Ireland Correspondent for the Times of London
1976-1987 - Middle East Correspondent for the Times of London
1988-present - Middle East Correspondent for the Independent in London

Published: Pity the Nation (about the Lebanese wars), 2 books on northern Ireland

Awards: Dr. Fisk has received 14 Journalist awards, he was named foreign correspondent of the Year 7 times in Britain and in 1996 received the Sais-Cib Award for Excellence in International Journalism from John Hopkins University.

1979 - the revolution in Iran
